Audi A6 e-tron concept, the second: as part of its 2022 Annual Media Conference, Audi is presenting the next model in its future electrically powered A6 Luxury Class: the Avant. The company with the four rings introduced the Audi A6 Sportback with an electric drive system almost a year ago at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2021. The production-oriented A6 Avant e-tron concept car now illustrates the synthesis of pioneering drive technology and Audi’s traditional design world: the Avant.

The lights on an Audi have long provided more than just safety. They represent the interface between design and technology and they have an authoritative impact on every Audi model’s visual appearance. That is particularly distinct in the exterior design of the e-tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT – headlights and taillights are defining elements of these models.

Audi is consistently focusing on the electrification of its model range in China as well. With the Audi FAW NEV Company Ltd., Audi is setting the course for expanding the local e-product portfolio, building a new plant for fully electric Audi models using the Premium Platform Electric (PPE). In recent months, the company jointly founded by Audi and its partner FAW has achieved a new milestone: After intense preparations and successful approval by the Chinese authorities, construction is set to begin on the new plant in Changchun. The site has a production capacity of more than 150,000 electric cars annually – moreover, production will be CO2 neutral and fully connected.

How does an electric car work in the Nordic cold? A Norwegian family who has driven the Audi e-tron since 2019 shares their experiences. Alongside explanations from Audi’s own technicians, this will give you the best insight into how the Audi e-tron performs in a cold climate and on icy roads.

This was a car swap of a very special kind: with Mattias Ekström as the instructor in the co-driver’s seat, Ken Block tested the Audi RS Q e-tron with start number 224 on snow and ice. The outing during the GP Ice Race in Zell am See (Austria) was the spectacular prototype’s first appearance after its successful debut in the famous Dakar Rally.
